peer, appear to disappear • all knotted up with fear • white sails
a vessel secure and safely nestled
lay you down in the seabed • fall in love with the masthead
can i make you my flagship? all my eggs in one basket
i’ve been thinking about asking, a question requesting--- no, nevermind
i’m tangled in the sweet things that you say and that you do
i wanna stay enamored over you
i can’t go on • i can’t back down • i can’t stay deep or i’ll drown
sheer, like here but not quite here • all twisted in the gears • white sails
moan like mine but not my own
lay you down in the seabed • don’t fall in love with the masthead
can i make you my flagship? all my eggs in one basket
i’ve been thinking about asking, a question requesting--- no, nevermind
i’m all caught in the sweet things that you say and that you do
i wanna stay enamored over you
i can’t go on, i can’t back down, i can’t stay deep or i’ll drown
hey, flickering light • two ships pass in the night
hey, ghost ship, tell me where are you floatin’? and can i come aboard?
can i make you my flagship? all my eggs in one basket
i’ve been thinking about asking, a question, requesting--- no, nevermind
i’m tangled in the sweet things that you say and that you do
i wanna stay enamored over you
i can’t go on • i can’t back down • i can’t stay deep or i’ll drown
flagship? all my eggs in one basket
i’ve been thinking about asking, a question, requesting--- no, nevermind
i’m tangled in the sweet things that you say and that you do
i wanna stay enamored over you
i can’t go on • i can’t back down • i can’t stay deep or i’ll drown
The real Speed of Sound in Seawater is fast... relatively. This album is the same in that it goes by too fast and you are already putting it on repeat again. :p jason hankins
Certainly a controversial direction for the band, but this album ultimately rests as my favorite from TTNG. The technical mastery of their previous albums is still present here along with some very thought provoking and philosophical lyrics. I may not always agree with the lyrical messaging, but this is an album which rewards careful listening. Syobnaf
