love that never fades in and out • i’m runnin’ out of days
love that never folds • through the grit and through the gettin’ old
i know
impossible, how can it be that two souls emit a similar hue?
i’m told
impossible, can’t find no body who could love yourself as much as you do
love that never swells • keep it the same or it’ll fade out
love that never burned • so keep it quenched or it’ll flame out
i know
impossible, how can it be • two equations plot a similar line
i’m told
impossible, don’t try to fight it when we start to grow apart over time
fold, fold the sheets • take the bus • quickly wrap up now
choose another one (choose another one)
change the sheets • take the bus • slowly unwrap now
checkin’ out the booty • wooden chest under water • i’ll loot that booty
choose another one (choose another one)
burn the sheets • miss the bus • uninstall app now • wait, swipe me right
your feed, and i’m scrolling • you’re lookin’ good, girl
think you know where i’m going • don’t go
light weight • hella heavy • i’m ready to go whenever you’re ready to go
trust me, hella honest • said it’s the real thing and i meant it i promise
light weight • hella heavy • i’m ready to go whenever you’re ready to go
love that never fades • cold water • tumble dry low
love that never dulls • stay sharp • yeah, that’s my arrow
i know,
impossible, how can it be that two souls emit a similar hue
i’m told
impossible, can’t find no body who could love yourself as much as you do

The real Speed of Sound in Seawater is fast... relatively. This album is the same in that it goes by too fast and you are already putting it on repeat again. :p jason hankins

Certainly a controversial direction for the band, but this album ultimately rests as my favorite from TTNG. The technical mastery of their previous albums is still present here along with some very thought provoking and philosophical lyrics. I may not always agree with the lyrical messaging, but this is an album which rewards careful listening. Syobnaf
